Married. Chapter 5. " Khuda Hafiz dost ! "

The week passed, boards awaited for both of them. One was extremely tensed that he wouldn't get the college of his dreams, other one was too reluctant to make chotta's even. Different parts of country, different states, different schools yet the emotion was somewhat same, it was tension.
In Kolkata, it was extremely difficult to guess who was more tensed ? Dhruv, because of the exam pressure or his mother just because he wasn't eating properly. Typical Bengali moms, for them their child is everything. They literally don't care a fig about anything, be it sudden rise in petrol prices, GDP drop of the country, who's the new president, or even an alien invasion. All they are worried about, the growth in onion prices, their daughters busy in the phone and why her son is not shaving the shabby beard, and most importantly, WHY IS HE NOT EATING PROPERLY ? - The national tension of mother's. Mothers are really special, even if they run a country, they possess an extra part of their brains; completely reserved for family and children, which nothing can take over. That's the most beautiful thing about these wonder women.

After spending a week away from the city noise, Ria spent a good amount of time with her books in their villa. The suspension was a blessing for her, she was extremely annoyed with the school thus kept no connection with any friends for the week, except Payal.

Finally the big day arrived

She was fully loaded with chotthas, he had completed every question he had seen.
Both of them were prepared in their own way.
Col. Solanki was much more tensed than Ria was, he wanted her daughter to stand on her own. That day he personally drove Ria to the examination centre.
Col. Solanki turned back and said, " Ria, chill It'll be okay. You've prepared enough. "
She knew what preparation she was carrying.
Left socks with Electricity formulas, right with Ray digrams. Her pockets filled with magnetic properties and some last minute proofs, which would definitely come in the exam as said by their teacher were carefully stitched inside her shirt.
" Yes Papa ! I have. " She replied after recapitulating the placement of the chits.
She knew, she was going to a highly reputed school with O level security especially during Boards, but she wasn't bothered much, she was the master at it.

After praying and bribing God for ten long minutes, Dhruv's mother finally smacked that sandalwood vermilion on his head, which according to her would keep him calm and cool, Dhruv always resisted but this time he didn't as didn't want to take unnecessary risks.
" Baba, chol deri hochhe !!! " His father exclaimed.
" Maa, Aschi ! " Dhruv rode in his father's lucky Chetak and waved bye, his mother was so tensed that anyone would see her face and say she was suffering from any dangerous disease. They had two cars, five bikes but the chetak was considered lucky by his father, maybe because that's the vaahan he used to roam around Kolkata with his mother. It h
ad a sweet history behind it.

The bell rang, the question paper was being distributed, one was recalling formulas the other chit placements, until Ria thought of throwing them away and not cheat, but she kept the noble deed for another day.
She saw that, all the hard work she did was useless because, she knew all the answers.
She was extremely happy that she was giving the exam on her own and not cheat.

Dhruv's seat was in a completely isolated school, away from his friend's because of some misunderstanding and misinterpretation of his name and roll number. He found himself sitting between uncles, who definitely weren't giving the exam for the first time. All of them were carrying secret weapons with them, Dhruv noticed. Behind him, a girl was sitting nerd-ish, completely lost in her mind writing her own, and a guy lost in himself was sitting in front of him.
After an hour of writing, Dhruv was confident that he'd score good, he slowed down as he had completed sixty percent of the paper already. He noticed that the boy sitting in front of him was literally sobbing, he was shabby and muscular, having a hint of soorma under his eyes and definitely carried nothing. He realised it, when he saw that the guy was not writing anything for an hour. It was not very strange to see a boy, rather a man crying during Physics exam. Dhruv was soft hearted, he never kept quiet when he saw anyone crying and his curiousity towards him was increasing.
Seeing, the examination guards were busy chatting on their own, he said patted and said,
" Dada-Bhai, is everything okay ? "
The strange guy looked curiously, and confirmed if he was talking with him or not.
" Bhaijaan, this is the third time and I don't think I would pass. " He replied.
Dhruv was shocked to hear that, his mind was lost in the thoughts of an old friend. A friend he lost two years back, due to failure in examination. Dhruv became emotional, and somehow managed not to cry or show his emotions.
" I don't understand science, but my father forced me take to it. I won't be able to pass this time too ", he continued.

For the first time in fourteen years, Dhruv thought of helping a boy .... To cheat.
He was extremely scared to show his copy to him as he lacked experience in cheating. He somehow managed to complete his own as well as show him a few sums which would make him pass.
It continued for all the preceding exams too, slowly he learned the art of showing his copy without being caught.
After all the exams were finished, he asked his name.
" I am Sahil " the shabby guy replied.
" Brother, I owe you everything. Even if I don't pass in all of them, I'll be forever grateful for what you did, I'll pray to Allah that someday I can do something for you ", Sahil got emotional and hugged Dhruv.
" Just remember me, you have a brother from now on. " He continued in his strange accent.
Dhruv ensured that he passes, but nothing more. He was confused that if he did the right thing or not, but a had a strange feeling of satisfaction.

" Khuda Hafiz dost " Sahil said and left.
