Married. Chapter 6. " Shalini, I have so much to tell ! "

The next four years weren't much happening for Dhruv. He always wanted to be literature laureate, but he had to go for engineering because his relatives said, " onek scope ache ". He resisted at first, tried to avoid his relatives and family friends, and even the customers in their shop and somehow managed to succeed 0.5%, but then his revolt was demolished when his mother fainted, when he said that he doesn't want to be an engineer. How supernatural it is ? She was completely normal the entire day, but when her son said, he wanted to go for B.A. his mother fainted.
" Et tu mother ! " He mumbled, when his last day of hope was murdered too.

He went to Jadavpur, somehow completed his Bachelor's in Engg. Life wasn't the same as it was before, his routine was damaged he made some new friends, life was going on. He applied for the entrance and qualified for the MBA, which was his plan B.

He called up Shalini, his childhood best friend to meet and say about this news.
The scooter was engaged and he was too tired too, to ride a bike across the city to meet her, so he thought of taking a Kali-pili.

" Taxi Esplanade jabe ? "
" Naa "
Dhruv thought, how could he expect the drivers to take him at first go. Kolkata cabbies are famous for their refusals, and the irony was each one of them wrote NO REFUSALS proudly on the body of the taxi.

While waiting at the stand for nearly half an hour, he started thinking about his life, how time passed by. He missed the old scooter rides with his father, where he used to set the destination every single and wander.

Meanwhile he was waiting for a cab, it started raining. Typical unpredictable Kolkata weather, ruined his nostalgia.

" Shit !!! " He exclaimed, and ran towards the shed. He saw a known taxi, known in the sense he knew the driver and understood that it was his taxi. Waving ferociously and shouting " Robi Da !!! ", he saw a girl running  towards the car with incredible speed, towards his last hope of meeting Shalini.
When he realised that he had a competitor for the ride, she tightened his backpack and ran. One running across the busy road to catch the taxi, another towards it in the same lane.
The shower became violent and Dhruv went for a sprint somehow reaching near it. He stopped the taxi and got into it.
" Robi Da ! Esplanade !!! "
" Bhaiyya, Park Street lena ! "
He heard an unfamiliar voice, when he was about to sit properly, he realised there was a girl already sitting inside, unfortunately he lost the race and it was that girl who was running against him.
He realised, he was the second one to get in, and his next part of the journey was totally dependent on the girl if she would share the ride.
Fortunately Robi Da managed to convince the girl for sharing.
He looked towards his left, she was much more drenched than he was. Wet hairs, drenched clothes made her restless, she shouted " tin din se hostel mein garmi se mar rahi hu, tu barsa nahi ... Aaj hi pizza khane ka mann hua tu tapak gaya behenchod ", while wiping her face and hairs.
Dhruv couldn't help but started laughing seeing her disgust.
" Haso matt " she immediately scolded him,  As if she was the class teacher and he was the naughtiest kid in the third standard. Amusingly, he kept quiet. He was literally shocked for two reasons, first he never saw a girl who cursed that much openly, to be honest he never talked with any so how would he know. Secondly, that girl literally scared the shit out of him, she scolded her and funnily he listened to her and kept quiet and not laugh.
She was done with the wiping part, " The go-bechara chele " was sitting like he was punished, he was never scolded by girl. She noticed it and she started laughing seeing his polite behaviour.
" Chill. Am sorry ", she said to him, trying her best to hide the laughter.
Dhruv was a shy guy, he looked at her to say it's okay, but realised his life would never be okay from now on.
She was laughing like anything, her wet long locks falling on her face and she was removing them involuntarily. Long jhumkas, ight brown eyes and even in this rain, her eyeliner intact. Flawless face and sculpted lips, and literally no makeup in her face, maybe it was before but it must have been washed because of the rain. He was lost in her eyes, and her single stroked eyeliner made his little heart skip a million beats. He was thankful to the rain, he literally started booking marriage halls and select the menu in his mind seeing that face, till she interupted,
" Hello !!! I am sorry, okay ? ", she realised the guy sitting beside her was lost somewhere. She had to wave her hand in front of his eyes to bring him back from his imagination where he even thought of the children's names.
" Hey !!! "
Dhruv got chills down his spine as he heard her voice again, he was back in his senses. He realised he was looking at her for the past few minutes and he was ashamed of it, but when he saw the girl smile a bit seeing his condition, he continued to browse names in his mind.
He looked at her again, she was busy looking outside the window, Vans sneakers, boyfriend jeans and a yellow top. She wore a bracelet in her left hand with the initial 'A'. The rain eventually stopped, though he wanted it to last forever. He gathered all his might to ask her name but when was going to open his mouth, Robi Da said,
" Behenji Park Street " she paid and left.
Dhruv wanted to kill Robi Da that moment as he ruined the perfect moment. He was in a dilemma to kill him or not because he was the reason Dhruv met her, so he decided not to.
The phone rang, it was Shalini. Before she could say or ask anything Dhruv said,
" Shalini, I have so much to tell ! "
